For referring professionals

Clinical psychology referrals.

Dr Ashleigh Schweinsberg accepts referrals for therapy and psychological assessment, including DVA and HART pathways. Referrers are welcome to call to clarify clinical fit and scope.

Clinical approach

Assessment is guided by the referral question.

The process is designed around the question to be answered, the decisions the findings will inform and the available evidence.

01

Clarify the diagnostic, cognitive, functional or planning question before selecting measures.

02

Integrate developmental and clinical history, current functioning, standardised measures, collateral information and behavioural observation.

03

Consider differential and co-occurring neurodevelopmental, mental health, learning, sleep, medical and contextual factors.

04

Report the conclusion, supporting evidence, limitations and recommendations for the intended audience.

Provider programs

Please call before referring to confirm current availability, clinical fit and the documentation required for the pathway.
